Water Beads (or beetles, depending on who you ask)

20 Jun

Lucas loves a science experiment, and was thrilled to try out water beads this week.  It was $.49 well spent – we started off with tiny little colorful dots, added a healthy dose of water and left for school.  He was thrilled to come home and find the water beads (or water beetles, as he insisted on calling them) engorged with water, slippery and squishy to touch.  We’ve tried to look through them, bounce them, drop them, squish them, float them and more.
