We are very proud this week — proud of our running Daddy, Gigi and Uncle Brad.

Marathon-LucasThere were signs, and loud cheers.  Clapping and fist pumping.

Tim ran fast and strong, finishing at 2:02 — the 203rd person to finish; placing 35th in his age group (at 35 years old) — seems like some lucky numbers worth playing to me. He wanted to run at 10 minute miles – he did 9:20 minute miles.  We were so proud, and I’ve been so impressed to see him “recover” from the marathon with no complaints and little soreness.  He celebrated by helping us grocery shop that afternoon.  I’m confident that I’d be bedridden for weeks.  Way to go, Daddy.

Gigi placed an incredible 4th in her age category and rolled in at under 3 hours for the race with everyone cheering her across the finish line.  It was amazing to see her accomplish this goal.  GO GIGI!  Uncle Brad kept her zooming through the course and marked his fourth half marathon along the way.

Marathon-GigiBradWell done, runners.
