Leprechaun Trauma

18 Mar

There was a Leprechaun incident at school.  A trauma really…  We are in Leprechaun recovery after the horror.

Apparently, while the pre-school class napped on St. Patrick’s Day, a sneaky Leprechaun dashed into their room and created all kinds of mischief.  Chairs were knocked over.  Green footprints left on the windows.  Green bracelets and gold coins were scattered about. And most horrifyingly, the tricky little Leprechaun peed in their little potties.

The teachers tell me that there were cheers… from everyone but Lucas.  From Lucas, there were tears, and shaking and cold, chilled fear over the whole thing.  He was so unsettled that this Leprechaun had crept into their room while they lay sleeping and messed up all their stuff.  How dare he put his green pee in their pristine potties?  Why would ‘Sneaky Patrick’ write on their morning meeting board in green marker?  Why? Why? WHHHHHYYYYY?

He got so worked up they thought he might be sick — and in ascertaining that he was not actually ill, they convinced him that he was.  He spent the remainder of last night bemoaning his “fee-ber” and various ailments which required a steady supply of treats to help heal.  He woke up three times last night and ended up needing to sleep with the light on to ensure that no antics were transpiring nearby.

This little drama baby…. I just don’t know where he gets it.

Poor Luke. At least Patrick didn’t holler “I’m going to get you!!!” The lights would be on in your house forever.
