Lucas thinks there is a bear that lives in Benjamin’s room.  He insists we tiptoe past the room very quietly on most mornings.  Other mornings, he informs me that the bear has a “happy face” and we are able to proceed with life at a normal volume.  The bear isn’t the only creature roaming our hallways.  There is a “tiny dinosaur” that sometimes strolls through my bedroom on school mornings, and you never know when a “friendly bear” will appear in the kitchen in search of honey. Less frequently, we’ve spotted a whale swimming through the living room and a shark attacking couch-side.

They made “babies” at school out of hard boiled eggs — adding eyes and coloring on clothing.  As you can see from the photos below, Lucas was about as gentle with his “baby” at school as he is with poor Benjamin at home!

We are still existing in a constant state of interrogation.  Everything Tim or I say is immediately followed by “why?” or “what?” Often times, the whys and the whats are repeated over and over and over again.  Until, I finally give up and tell him that “I don’t know.” Lately, once I respond with “I don’t know,” Lucas sighs in response and says, “It’s sad you don’t know everything.  I’m such a disappointment to him.
