Elmo’s World

8 Oct

We made an impromptu visit to Sesame Place last weekend, or Elmo’s World as Lucas calls it.

At 8:40am, we asked Lucas if he’d like to go to Elmo’s World and he replied, “that sounds like a great idea, let’s go!” By 9:20 we were on the road — having only forgotten to pack about 1/3 of what we needed — and arrived just as the park opened for the day.

SesamePlaceThere were pumpkins galore and trick or treat stations set up around the park.  With nearly no lines, Lucas rode almost every ride while his parents juggled the little one and tried to find the scant bits of shade to cool down.

As usual, he was nearly fearless with his ride selection:

But nothing made Tim or I laugh more than watching him walk into the cafe and immediately bend down and grab a piece of discarded popcorn off the ground and pop it into his mouth without any hesitation.  It took me two beats to realize what he’d done before fishing the stepped-upon crumb off his tongue and admonish him amidst giggles. Apparently, he’s fearless when it comes to rides and germs.
