We are big into baseball these days.

And I try not to seem shocked at how good he is every time he plays.  I’m not sporty, so he certainly didn’t get his love of the game or his desire to stand outside in the 90+ degree temperatures swinging a bat from me.

Tball1He quickly mastered the t-ball set up and knocks it off the tee – mostly with very little wobble of the base – nearly every time.

Gigi and PopPop got a t-ball set up that pitches the ball towards him – necessitating him to hit it out of the air.  Given that the toy is rated for kids 3-7 years old, and that his mother has nearly no hand eye coordination, PopPop was skeptical that he’d make any progress with the moving balls.  Ten pitches later, wham, bam, thank you ma’am.

Tball2I see many hours spent in uncomfortable lawn chairs propped on hot fields ahead for us.  And, I’m shocking myself to say that I’m looking forward to it…
