Sunglasses

Luke has definitely reached a stage where he is highly aware of others.  He notices things – and tends to point them out loudly.  If Tim dare grace his doorway before putting on a shirt, you’ll hear Lucas exclaim “Where are your clothes, Daddy!!?” Or, if I wear a dress, he’ll point to my legs and say “You need more clothes, Mommy” because, in his world, you need to wear a shirt and pants every day.  Similarly, small variations in outfits are exclaimed upon — “dat’s your necklace, Mommy?” or “I don’t want you have a ponytail!”

As part of this awareness, he loves to add accessories that are similar to ours (mostly Tim’s…).  If Tim is wearing a baseball hat, you can bet Luke wants to have one on too.  If Tim puts on a coat, Luke needs his immediately.  He admires Tim’s glasses and my sunglasses regularly and often wonders why he doesn’t have glasses.  Now, thanks to Gigi, he has his own pair that he proudly wears to and from school each day.
