Favorite Things

21 Nov

It’s about the time of year for “favorite things” – right?  And, since Oprah is out of commission for this season, Luke decided to share his current faves, 11 month old style.

1) Playtex Twist and Click Sippy Cups – We tried lots and lots of sippy cups to find one that would work with Luke’s discerning tastes.  Sippy cups with handles and without.  Sippy cups with straws and without.  Sippy cups with hard spouts and those with soft.  And, after much failure, we bought the Playtex Lil Gripper Sippy Cups (with straw and handle) and had an immediate winner.  Not only did he quickly master the straw, he loves to hold the cup himself.  We often giggle as he dramatically sucks his cheeks in while inhaling his water, and then gives a loud sigh after each sip.

2) Fisher Price Stack & Roll Cups – This is Luke’s favorite toy.  They provide endless fun.  Not only are they stackable so much fun to knock over, but they snap into balls.  And, little did the good folks at Fisher Price know, but they also make incredible voice amplifiers which Luke loves to practice by pressing to his mouth and screaming into…. And, terrific cymbals.  Oh, did I mention they are also great for banging into walls?  Endless. Fun.

3) Fisher Price Shape Sorter – Another homerun by Luke’s homeboys at Fisher Price.  This toy comes with fun see-through blocks that we love to bang together.  He’s recently perfected dropping them in through their corresponding hole and then immediately looking to us for a round of applause.

4) Books (sigh, finally and thank heavens….) – especially Peek a Who and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?. Although other favorites come and go, those two books will always capture his attention and he’ll sit and flip through pointing furiously at the pictures.

I think this particular blog should be sent to Playtex and to Fisher Price. They couldn’t ask ask for better publicity. I would do it but I am not sure how–you know how computer literate I am. Love Luke’s pictures and enjoy the best part of my day checking them out.
