Luke goes on the potty every night and sometimes during the day — always number 1.
Aren’t you thrilled to know that? I’m sure he’ll be even more thrilled I shared this information. I can already see him as a teenager shouting while running upstairs, “Remember that time you told everyone I would only pee on the potty!!! How could you?”
Regardless, it’s the truth. We’ve been casually encouraging him to expand his horizons while on there because Mama’s tired of changing poopy diapers. I told him earlier this week that I would clap if he pooped on the potty. Like any toddler (or more specifically, like my child), he loves accolades and enjoys a good round of applause for his endeavors. So now, here’s how things go whenever he sits on the potty…
Mommy – “okay, buddy, go ahead.”
Lucas – “I go, then you crap.”
Mommy – “huh?? I what??”
Lucas – “You crap, Mommy. You crap for me.”
Mommy – “ahhh, yes, I will CLAP if you go poop on the potty.”
I cannot wait for him to direct his daycare teachers to crap while he is using the potty at school. Parent of the Year Award coming my way soon.
