Our park time has been considerably less since the move — both because of lack of proximity (walking to the park is probably one of the few things I miss about the old house) and the recent frigid temperatures. But, Lucas misses his park outings and I’ve been trying to bundle us all up recently and make time for short trips to the new playgrounds in our area.
We tried a new one on Sunday that I imagine will be a fast favorite. The wind was whipping around which guaranteed chappy cheeks, but it certainly didn’t deter his great mood or big smiles.

- Within moments of arriving, here he is zooming up the steps to get to the largest slide in the playground.
- Cheeky smiles down at me as he bridges the last divide to the slide — a very tall pathway that has openings in between each step. I shouted “look where you are going!!” fifteen times on the ten step traverse.
- Yup, just another day with a gigantic, meant-for-a-five-year-old slide. If you squint, you can see the excitement in his eyes.
- Amidst shouting “I do it again!”
- It’s rather challenging to snap photos while saying a novena that your two-year old doesn’t plunge to the bottom of the freakishly tall and narrow staircase

What a dare-devil boy!!! I foresee bungee jumping by age 5 !!!!!
